Chittagong is a city in southeastern Bangladesh. Built on the banks of the Karnaphuli River, the city is home to Bangladesh’s busiest seaport and has a population of over 5.5 million. Today, Chittagong is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. It is the second largest city of Bangladesh and a busy international seaport.

There are their main seasons, the dry season (November to March), which is relatively cool, sunny and dry, the premonsoon season (April and May), which is very hot and sunny with occasional shower, and the rainy season (June to October), which is warm, cloudy and wet.
Places to Visit in Chittagong
Tomb of Sultan Bayazid Bostami: Situated on a hillock at Nasirabad, about 6 km to the north-west of Chittagong town, this shrine attracts a large number of visitors and pilgrims. At its base is a large tank with several hundred tortoises.

Chittagong Hill Tracts: Chittagong hill tracts is the world of panoramic beauty for his perennial forest, thrilling drives through hills and dales, Kaptai Lake, colourful tribal life and culture. Chittagong hill tracts are the mother of world nature and panoramic beauty.
World War II Cemetery: It is one of the famous Tourist Attractions in Chittagong. It is the graveyard that is dedicated to the warriors who were martyrs of the Second World War.
Ethological Museum: This museum located in Agrabad is a treasure-house of a variety of tribal culture and heritage of Bangladesh.
Zia Museum: The government Circuit House where former president Ziaur Rahman died has been turned into a museum.
Patenga and Fouzdarhat Sea Beaches: Patenga beach is about 22 km from Chittagong and is approachable by a drivable road. On the way to the beach one crosses the Patenga Airport. Another ideal picnic spot is the Fouzdarhat sea-beach about 16 km from Chittagong.
Shrine of Shah Amanat: The Shrine of Shah Amanat is another place of religious attraction, located in the heart of the town, the shrine is visited by hundreds of people everyday who pay homage to the memory of the saint.
Heritage Park: There is a heritage park called Shaheed Zia Memorial Complex and Mini Bangladesh at Chandgaon which reflects the most notable structures and instances of Bangladesh. This 71-metre tower in Mini Bangladesh in Chittagong has a restaurant on the top that rotates once every 90 minutes.
